iPhone app development companies have been eying the WWDC and it has been able to please the iPhone app developers. The total overhaul of the User interface towards building a flat design is the brand new thing with the iOS 7. However investors and VCs are not very pleased with the array of announcements Apple made at WWDC.

The innovation crunch:

Android and iPhone app development experts have been facing this from quite some time now. As the galaxy S4 disappointed the android masses, critiques were waiting for Apple to launch the iOS 7. As the iPhone 5 also ended up disappointing the masses, analysts were sure that iOS7 would bring something ground-breaking for iPhone app development companies. Although the iOS got a significant UI refresh, the fundamentals of the OS remains the same. Infact many have been citing the additional features added to iOS7 are just incremental in nature. The UI looks like a mash of many UIs released in the past. There are acute similarities with Android 4.0 and Android fans have noticed them as well. Other features such as the iRadio and Airdrop are again nothing new.

What lies ahead?

The consumer behavior is not likely to change much. Be it iOS6 or 7, consistency will be better in an iPhone any day. Hence there will not be much switching to adapt a flagship android phone. On the other hand galaxy S4 has not been as successful as the S3 which will keep the demands of other Android flagships alive. Basically, the market dynamics of Smartphone will not change much.
